Being asked to review books is pretty much like winning the lottery for me. I LOVE reading! Even more than that I love reading books that help me grow.
When I was invited to read and review Manage Your Money Like A F*cking Grown-Up by Sam Beckbessinger, I was excited, to say the least. A book about money and it’s a bit sweary. Perfection.
Now I must admit that it took me a while to get around to reading it. This isn’t because I didn’t want to but more that I read whilst I put my kids to sleep. Therefore, I am pretty much reliant on my Kindle’s backlight to get any reading done.
However, after rigging up a lighting system in my bedroom, it didn’t take me long to get hooked on this one. Sam Beckbessinger provides an easy to follow yet rigorous system to sort to out your money. This book has the potential to help thousands of readers.
[Note: This product was gifted to me in exchange for a review.]
Right at the start of the book, Sam writes “we never get an instruction manual about how money works” and then goes on to plug that gap.
With chapters that include “making money” and “get the right accounts,” this book is a step-by-step process to go from out of control and clueless to complete money pro.
The author guides you along your money path, which she has broken down into games such as “Get the F*ck Out of Debt” and “Don’t Be Old and Poor”. She provides the actions you need to take in each game to win them and truly master your money.
Would it be too bold to say everyone? Anyone who feels completely lost with their money. This book will feel like a life raft for you.
If you have battled your way through a mountain of debt and don’t know what to do next, then this book will show you the way.
Maybe you already feel like a bit of pro. You budget well and you know what you are doing with your money but you want to take it to the next level, then Sam has a chapter for you too.
Knowledge. And enjoyment. This book manages to provide the amount of information you expect from a textbook with a few laugh out loud moments that you’d expect from a comedian’s autobiography.
It is impossible to read this book and not feel empowered and ready to act with your money. You’ll start to make steps towards a better financial future after the first chapter or two.
